My Blog Reflection

This week my biggest challenge was tree diagrams. I overcame it, by asking questions so I understood it. Next time I would focus on what the teacher was doing instead of trying to understand it myself. I learned that if you want to have lots answers to the data, a tree diagram is what you would want to use. I had the most fun doing the summary writing. It was so much fun learning about Venice and how the land is on water. I learnt about bridges and  we are going to  make a slide show for them. My goal for next week is to not get sidetracked with talking, to be focused and to learn as much as I can. I am excited about art for golden time this afternoon.

The disappearing act

My fair inquiry reflection

For our inquiry this term, we had to work together to create a fair stall. The focus was on how well we worked together with others.

On the night of the fair, my fair stall made a total profit of $121.00. I think it went well because every one participated and co operated with their time slots. We all worked together really well.

Below are my reflections of how well I think I went...
Daily Group Work Reflections for our Fair Project
My name: Marnie
Other members in my group: Jay, Ben, Callum, Madi.
Our fair stall: Toilet Toss

Date: 22,2.16

Reflection (What went well today? What do I need to do better? What do we need to focus on tomorrow? How could my team work more effectively together next time?): I am thankful we are all co-operating with our ideas. We talked about the meters away from the toilet bowl. Where would the juniors stand the seniors and the 13+. I am now really excited about the fair.

Reflection (What went well today? What do I need to do better? What do we need to focus on tomorrow? How could my team work more effectively together next time?): Today Madi and I were in charge of the advertising. I chose only four stars because I felt that I was doing all the work. Madi said that her laptop wouldn’t turn, when in fact she’s on it right now. But I am doing the advertising on google drawings. I think its going well. Bye

Reflection (What went well today? What do I need to do better? What do we need to focus on tomorrow? How could my team work more effectively together next time?): Today Maddi and I traced TOILET TOSS and a window with curtains onto a massive board of wood. Which went really well. I really feel like it is coming together now. Tomorrow is colour-paint. Jay and Ben were cutting the box which went well. Which is good because I didn’t know how it was going to turn out but so far so good.

Reflection (What went well today? What do I need to do better? What do we need to focus on tomorrow? How could my team work more effectively together next time?): Today instead of helping my group I went and helped Debbie with the tickets for the fair and I helped with the school newsletter. It was so much fun helping her we had some great chats. Now I can say that I am the person that helped with the tickets that will be handed to so many people.

My Omi

My Omi.

Her neck is wrinkled and soft like a well used accordion. There’s always delicious biscuits in the cupboard. She’s always smiling from ear to ear. The astonishing smell of flowers suffocates the house not leaving any spots to breathe.

Feedback: You are beginning to use some juicy vocabulary to paint a picture with show-not-tell Marnie. I really like how you wrote that the flowers suffocate the house.

My reflection for week 5

We have Movin-cog for six weeks and this week was the first. Its really boring because the control group just sit there reading a book the whole time the others are doing fitness. We had another film skills lesson where we had to do the disappearing act as you can see below as well as the video. I am really excited about the fair. My stall is called Toilet Toss, it's really cool. You have to throw toilet paper into a toilet that we made and then if you get it in you win a Burger King voucher. YAY THE FAIR!!!!
For spelling my lowest score is 32 which I am really proud of myself. This means I can carry on testing until I get a score with 10 wrong or more.

The disappearing act

In the disappearing act we had to make a film with all these different shots to show that someone is disappearing.
